Taylor-Wood plans Lennon biopic
Artist turned film-maker Sam Taylor-Wood is to helm a forthcoming film about the adolescence of John Lennon.Taylor Wood will shoot the movie entitled Nowhere Boy - on location in the area of Liverpool where the legendary Beatle grew up. The script is to focus on the lonely teenage years of Lennon and is being penned by Matt Greenhalgh who won a Bafta for his screenplay of Ian Curtis biopic Control. Lennon was raised by a strict aunt after being abandoned by his mother, leading him to take solace in art and music. "The story spoke to me on so many levels - both personal and artistic," Taylor-Wood told the Hollywood Reporter. "The women in John's early life truly shaped who he became, and the strengths and weaknesses of their relationships are central to this film."
