Daniel Craig dismisses Bourne influence

3 stars out of 5.0
Daniel Craig has said that the forthcoming James Bond movie Quantum Of Solace has not been influenced by the Bourne trilogy.

The Bourne films were widely credited with breathing new life into the action genre, with some feeling they may have been a significant influence on the new grittier Bond films

Comparisons between the two are likely to continue, as Bourne trilogy stunt director Dan Bradley is also working on Quantum Of Solace – the 22nd movie in the franchise.

However, Daniel Craig stressed that Bradley's talents are being used for an experience which is unique to Bond.

"Dan's here to do exactly what he's good at doing," he told Empire magazine.

"He's just come off Indiana Jones, Are we going to be more like Indiana Jones?

"We're applying Dan's talents to this movie."

Craig added: "Sorry to be political about it but I'm certainly not going to get into a p*****g competition with the Bourne fans."

Quantum of Solace is released in the UK on October 31st.
